Ok, I have recently acquired another project B2....:headbang:

The only thing is it is an automatic, at least for now. Having never dealt with an auto B2, I am assuming it has a single cardan shaft in the rear. It has boots on each end & looks nothing like the double cardan shafts I have dealt with on the manuals.

I am assuming with a 4" lift, it would be at a severe angle....I have an extra double cardan in the garage, is it possible to simply change them out or is there more to it? I haven't had time to remove the single cardan to see the differences in the way they mount up.......Also, is there any difference in the front shafts on the auto compared to the manual??

Depending on which maual you are speaking of, yes there would be differences. If I'm not mistaken, and I may be, The M5OD , FM146, and A4LD are same length. FM145, TK4, and TK5 are all different lengths. Shafts between M5, 146, and auto should be the same in length, and mounting.

I appreciate it man, I failed to mention the extra d/s I have is from an 85 B2 with a TK5, the project B2 I now have is an 85 with the A/OD so I am guessing it won't work.......I just need to find the time to get out there & pull the one from the auto & see what I am dealing with. I plan on converting it to a manual sometime in the future since I have almost everything sitting in the garage.....guess I'll have to think 'bout this a bit...:icon_confused:

Make a plan. Revise the plan. Check your resources. Second revisions. Modify. Much smoother and less stressful. Or just take shit apart and hope it works for the best =D. <-- Can be quite exciting.... The more research and planning you do any conversions/mods you do will be cleaner, better functioning, and have good results. Check out the rest of TRS. Tons of good info.
