Hi, I just did the f150 spacer and 2" ranger rear block swap on my 88 b2. My factory CV style shaft now clicks at low speeds, so obviously need a different one. Can I just get a ranger shaft and have it shortened? Would that work ok with only 2" lift? Is there a low cost but better option?

Thanks,

what joint are you talking about?

The axle shafts?

Or drive shaft?

You can get a u-joint shaft from another BII if you can find one. A shortened Ranger shaft would work as well.

I am soon to be in need of something too. I have a high-mileage '89 B2 and the rear driveshaft is starting to make noise(i think). Has anyone does this? Does anyone know how much it needs shortened?

Also if I decide to do a susp lift(3"-4"), like i've been thinking about, is it possible to use either a explorer or ranger driveshaft without shortening?
