Okay I have searched around and can’t find the article on driveshafts for a BII/7.5”. I lifted the truck 3” now I’m getting a ticking in the cv style joints in the factory shaft, I am sure I need to adjust pinion angle but also wouldn’t mind converting to a u joint style and would prefer a shaft that would allow an 8.8 in the future if I ever swap over for gearing purposes. That being said anyone had luck buying a shaft off line? If so open to suggestions. Thanks

tom woods is the place all the jeep guys seem to get theirs from. tons of good reviews in the jeep forums

Thoughts on this?

I bought that style about 2 years ago from O'reilly's. Haven't had any problems.

Ended up with an eBay friend of mine has one in his Bii and has no issues. Found part number was good and searched it basically the SAME thing. Just knew it fit so went with that one. Hope to install tonight.

For what it's worth... years ago I had a '88 Bronco II that had a 6" lift and auto trans. 7.5" rear axle. The CV rear driveshaft was worn out and I used an Explorer front shaft to replace it - I removed the double cardan joint and converted to a single U-joint and I think all I needed was a couple Explorer/Ranger 1990+ rear shaft, front flanges to make it all bolt together. Easy conversion and cost very little. You could also keep the double cardan joint, use an Explorer/Ranger 1354 t-case front yoke on the rear and shorten the shaft if the driveshaft angles require that.
