Like larger diameter? It would be way more trouble then its worth....

Why do you want to do this? I love the 2.9 but there is no way in hell youll ever get it to snap/twist/FUBAR a driveshaft.

The stock runs the 2 3/4in ujoints I want to change it to the drive shaft that takes the 3 1/2in ujoints. That's what happened to my old yolk in the picture.

Nice job on shattering that old yoke!

From what i'v been advised, the project is somewhat straightforward. but as you note u joints are different size and the yoke is a different size. I've been advised you can either tap new threads into the old yoke or swap out to 89-92 axle. New wider shaft also has no joint, so you'll need to bypass the center carrier bearing which, in some cases, requires grinding to get the mount bracket clear of the new shaft. Which is better solution in the end but one of the hurdles to clear.
