I have converted my 97 ext. cab with the one-piece aluminum shaft from on 02. right now it is stock suspension. i had to do quite a bit more clearancing with the gas tank skid plate than posted in the tech. library. (had rubbing issues) like cutting a little more than listed and fabing new brackets for the plate and shifting it over just a tad. (anyone else incountered this) I am wondering if I do a lift of any kind and remove the sway bars allowing more flex would I incounter any more problems with the clearance on it. thinking of skyjacker coils and maybe if needed new brakets for the leafs. thanks for any info.
