Drivers Side Vent

Hi, I know very little about heating in cars as my training and experiance is more in the powersport field, hence the only heating I know ind detail is when you wrap your legs around the fins on your engine...

So the problem I am having with my truck is that my heater only works on high(found the solution being the resistor and will fix when part comes into ford) and that I dont get a good air flow out of any of the drivers side vents... This is very annoying as it means my girlfriend fries while I freeze, as well as my window and half of the windshield fog up a lot more than the other half of the cab...

any suggestions for where to start on attempting to repair the vents?

The HVAC system on the second generation Rangers wasn't overly complicated. As such, it sounds like someone has been in the dash on that truck. If I had to guess, I'd say the duct has been partially detached on the driver side. If that is true, unfortunately, you'll need to start digging to examine your duct work. You may be able to check the duct by removing the instrument cluster, but I'm not sure if it will give you enough room to work on it. You may have to remove the entire dash first. Not sure.

Having the same sort of issue on my 90 B2. I've got good heat in the center of the dash, but no airflow to the outside side vents. I'm leaning towards either a disconnected duct or clogging with some debris..mines been sitting 7 years. Keep me posted with what you find and I'll do the same.
