Driveline Fitment

Looks like they supported the transmission with a mount on the 4x4 adapter, and the transfer case did just hang out in mid-air. #7E063 is the skid plate.

Yeah the studs shown on the CAD bracket image were for a dumb shield for the U joint that makes it a royal pain in the tookus to get the front driveline off in the junkyard, when I pulled my spare 4406 out of the junkyard it was just bolted to the trans and supported by the normal trans mount dangling out there and the 4407 behind my ZF5 S5-47 on my '97 F350 is like 50% longer and just dangling on the trans mount too

For funzies here's a pic of one of the tractor pulls, that was 2022, sled was set somewhat light, was the year before the rear spider gears started stripping out... wife was driving :), stupid air shocks are shot and leaf springs are weak so it squats like a mofo pulling many thousands of pounds...

Ok im new here with a question, getting ready to do a 5.0 swap in a 2004 ford ranger 4.0, which transfer case ended up fitting better between the frame rails the bw1356 or the bw4406, if advance adapters still made the adapter to mate the 4r70w transmission to the bw1354 id do that instead but the adapters have been discontinued, id love to have a plug and play which i heard the bw4406 will work but also seen a transfer case with a switch for 2wd, 4wd auto 4wd high and 4x4 low i wouldn't mind tryna get to work if i gotta change wiring and etc but if its more trouble then its worth regular 4x4 is fine by me because i definitely dont want to use the awd case from the explorer
