Wondering if anyone knows where I can get a driveshaft for a 1986 ford ranger 4x4 5 speed 108 wheelbase? Or has anyone ever took a bronco 2 Cardin piece and put it on their ranger driveshaft? Apperently this is a hard item to come by....

Is your shaft rebuildable? They make kits for that cardan joint thingy.

It is rebuildable but everything I find is for 88 and up year models. I cant find nothing for an 1986 5 speed. I can find them for the automatics though

Check Rockauto. Look at universal joint ball kit or ball seal kit. See if that's what you need. The rest is just u joints.

or measure yours and hit the junkyard to see what else is close and uses the same ends?

on jeeps, people take the front driveshaft and cut it down to use on the back of cherokees after lifting
