ive got a 91 ext cab 4x4 that im going to lift 6''. ive heard about swapping to a 1 piece drive shaft. will i be able to run my 2 piece for a little while till i find me a one piece? thanks guys, sorry for the stupid question.

Yes you can run the 2 piece shaft for a bit, I did on my 91 with 6" lift. I had to drop the crossmember that the support bearing of the driveshaft is mounted to down about an inch or so so it didn't vibrate as bad. I'm now running a 1 piece steel shaft out of a 98 ranger.

thanks, the 98 shaft is from an ext cab 4x4 as well?

Yep. Anything else would be the wrong length.
