drive shaft center support

Is the truck lifted at all?

Okay so I can either swap to a 98 and up driveshaft and not have to worry about the carrier bearing or I can replace the bearing on the drive shaft that's in it now? It doesn't have any lift on the rear just the front.. the rear is factory height. I don't do any offroading so which would be bettieer, I guess I could switch to the 98 and up ds and eliminate the two peice driveshaft, but rhe bearing now has roughly a quarter or an inch play in it could tht really cause a bad vibration ??

Guess I'm the only one that doesn't mind the two-piece driveshaft. I'm thinking on doing a rebuild on my driveshaft, even thou I don't notice any vibrations. Just getting high mileage (140k).

I did mine as part of a trans swap. I had to do it to get the shaft the right length. But I tell you what, I didn't have an vibration issues before I did it and it still felt better afterward.
