Found a thing with colors and part #'s listed for the Ranger and RBV transmissions but I'm having some conflicts.
The short story:
I have a 7 tooth white drive gear now, which "should" be 7 teeth. I'd need a 23 tooth driven gear to make my setup work. I'm told it's a Jeep part, and cut at a slightly different helix and will not last long at all.
Further searching said I could use a 6 tooth drive gear (supposedly purple?) and a pink 19 tooth gear. All Ford, all compatible, and actually more accurate.
However some have said the 6 tooth drive gear is RED? Does the transfer-cases use the same gear as the manual transmissions? I sure as hell hope so because one of my spare 1350's has one.
I'm hoping my hunches are correct, it seems the 6 tooth stuff is hard to find anything on, info OR one in physical existence. Everybody focuses on the driven gears.
