Names Mike and I live in Pensacola FL. I bought a 1996 Ranger as a project to build into a drift truck. It has the Thunder Coupe motor swap with some light upgrades. I know someone are going to say don't do it but Its about to get a 5.0 swap as I want to turn in into my drift/tow rig. After the 5.0 is in the Ranger I will be moving the 2.3 into either a FC body RX7 or a Miata. I have purchased the full running gear and front clip from a 97 Explorer and will be swapping in the 8.8 in the next month along with notching the frame and installing my DJM beams and 2 inch drop springs.

I would do more than a 2" drop for drifting. Put it on the ground and get that thing sideways. It looks like it has a lot of body roll and would hate to see you flip it during a drift.

The front will have a total of 5 inches with the spring and drop beams and the rear will be 6 inches
