What would be your dream setup (if money were no object)
I will start with mine.
1970's F250 High boy
300 straight six built up
SM 465 transmission
NP 208 transfer case
Dana 44 open knuckle front
9 inch rear
some 33" Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires
:icon_welder:

My Ranger rotiserated with all rust/dents fixed, frame painted, D35 in the front, new 302 crate, M50D trans with a NP-208 t-case.

My current Ranger with the body/frame fixed, and everything working. And the trans being quieter would be a plus. Seems kinda noisy now that it is handling a 4.0 again.

I had one of mine, Had to get rid of it almost 2 years ago due to having kids.
Had to get something bigger to haul kids and cargo. Got a 2011 F150 supercrew 5.0 4x4.
But what I traded in was my 1978 F150 Ranger XLT 4x4. highboy
400cid, Auto, Power brakes, power steering, A/C, cruze control..etc..
fully loaded. and yes...it was a stepside bed.
(*sniffle) 33x12.5x15 M/T MTZ
Here was the last picture I took of it when I had it in the blacktop nationals carshow.

If money was not a problem?

a) Get my BII fully restored.....Anddddddddddddddd

b) Find an early Bronco restored.

So I'd have the "Baby Bronco" in the parking lot next to "Sr. Bronco"

S-

A complete Restore for my 84 Ford Bronco 2 would be enough for me. I really don't want anything else right now.

Both of these..........the '36 interior installed......the engine put back on the Harley frame after I replaced all the case gaskets/seals....

88 B2 with a fuel injected 351. 4x4 manual trans manual T-Case. Widened factory wheels. 2 in suspension lift on narrowed 3/4 tons.

AC that works... For once in my life.

My dream setup is a fleet, not a truck. I can't even begin to think about having just one, that's why I probably won't end up with any.

First gen Ranger:
- reg cab, short/long bed
- 331 Stroker EFI
- Remote Twin-Turbo
- manual 5/6 speed trans
- Slight drop (~3")
- Improved front suspension design (MII, or custom)
- 4-link rear suspension
- 13" cobra front brakes & rear disk

68-72 (bump side) F-100: (built off the one dad has parked)
- Regular Cab, Long Bed
- 4x4
- 390 FE W/ EFI
- Manual Trans W/ OD & granny gear
- 33"-35" Tires
- Later model 4 wheel disk axles (it was good at pulling, but not at stopping)

'60s - Early '70s Ford Muscle car:
- Probably Torino, maybe a Galaxy
- 3.5L Ecoboost w/upgrades (I know, I'm crazy, but the F-150 is heavier and it would be a cruiser/DD not a racer)
- 4 wheel disk brakes (seeing a trend here?)
- Suspension Upgrades

Custom Buggy:
- Dune Buggy Style W/ A-arms instead of torsion bar
- 2/4 seater
- mid or rear mounted 2.8L V6 (they actually make a VW transaxle adapter for it)
- 31-33" tires for offroad & much smaller street tires
- GPS Speedometer (doesn't care about tire size)

The only one remotely in work now is the Ranger, the rest are just ideas in my notebook. Right now I'd be happy to just get it running with the 302, auto, 3" drop and upgraded brakes, the rest can come well down the road. Next build will be a shop to work on the next vehicle build in. That one will be either the F-100 that need to find a new for, or the buggy since I have a fresh rebuilt 2.8L sitting in a Ranger I totaled (but I gotta learn to weld first).

Caterham Super 7 w/6 spd transmission ... no one said it was rangers only :D

Mine be painted, no rust and 4wd again.

Other then that, I've built my dream vehicle.

True I never said it had to be a ranger. If I could I would also have a 59 El Camino restomod with a 396 and a manual transmission.

I'd be happy if I could just find the time to put the 4BT in my Explorer.

A 1995-1997 f250 heavy duty 7.3l powerstroke turbo diesel.
Extended cab with a short box or long box
4 inch MBRP turbo back exhaust system
31 inch goodyear duratracs
6 pos chip
Upgrade the turbo to a D66
AFE cold air intake
Upgrade the injectors from stock to stage 2
HPOP
Gauges
And much more!

For the ranger:
31 inch goodyear duratracs
Leveling kit
Alignment
New paint job
Gibson exhaust system
Gauges
Custom bumper, front and rear
Headache rack.
