Currently draining tranny for fluid and filter change and wanted to drain torque converter as well, but I'll be damned if I can find an inspection plate cover to get at converter, is there one?
It has a 5r55e tranny.
Thanks

There is no drain plug on the converter. Pretty much the only way to change ALL the fluid at once is to do a cooler line flush. Disconnect one of the cooler lines and direct it into a container. Start engine and let the trans pump out a quart or two of fluid. Stop engine, top off the fluid and repeat until all fluid is changed. You can keep engine running as you're refilling if you have someone to help you. Just don't let it run dry.

OK thanks, I just dropped the pan and put in a new filter. Just got the mail and a local garage is offering tranny flush , new filter and band adjustment for $39, should have went there and saved some time and a hell of a mess!
