dpfe sensor

i just bought my truck and it doesnt seem to have all the emisions connections complete. specificaly what i need to know is the dpfe sensor(i think its dpfe)

sorry this is not my picture but it has the sensor displayed to use as a referance. (silver senser hanging on hoses toward bottem of picture)

on my truck the senser is there but the hoses are not, i have bought some hoses but now i need to know where to put them. can someone tell me where they go.

haha your DPFE sensor is the one that is hanging in the picture, its slightly overlapping the engine oil dipstick. its the rectangular sensor with the two vacuum lines going to it and the 2 holes for bolts on each side of it. but it also looks like your truck might be missing some other EGR components as well. for example i dont see an EGR valve.

Ummmm yeah he said it wasn't his truck in the picture...........

If you look on the right side of the reference dpfe ( below the hole that the bolt goes through) in the picture you posted, you can see a small metal tube sticking up from the egr tube that bolts to the exhaust manifold. There are two of these small metal tubes, just look at the exhaust manifold/egr tube on your truck. The hoses go on these tubes.

ok thanks for the help. unfortunately i just noticed that the pipe from the manifold and for those hoses and the egr is missing and the manifold is just got a plug in it.
