ok i looked at a couple boxes for my 91 ext cab and they said that firing your subs down actually help the sound. my question is how close can the sub be from the floor? im looking at running one or two 10" memphis power bass's and need to keep both jump seats available. the way im seeing it,i only have about 3/4 of an inch from the floor to the sub. wont waste my time on this design if its not going to work out right. whats your opinions? ive also thought about making a box to fit into where the jumper seat fold into on the pass. side.

you have to take into acount how far the driver sticks out, i think its called the top mounting depth. also, the drivers excursion has to be taken into account. lets say the drivers top mount depth is .5" and hte excursion is 1"., thats 1.5" before it will hit anything. but id add an extra .5" for clearance. memphis does make a pretty sweet shallow mount sub. with a flush mount it should work.
