So I'm redo'ing my whole audio system and was thinking it would be a great idea to cut the chunky and restricting plastic on the door that covers the speakers. Do any of you guys have suggestions on what to use to cover it or any techniques on how to set it up?

I didn't cut mine out, just trimmed the inside a bit, there is an overhang that would have touched my 6.5" woofers. Not really sure you need to get ride of the grill they aren't really in the way of anything you could fit in there.
