Sorry if this has been a previous topic, I searched but didn't come up with any results.

I have a 1990 Ranger that has the small exterior door mirrors. Both sides are so loose that if I go over 30 MPH they fold into the door making them useless. I pulled them off expecting to find a nut on the bottom to tighten up but it doesn't look like it can be tightened.

Is there a fix for this or do I need to buy new mirrors.

I don't really want to break them but it seems like they should come apart I just can't figure out how to do that.

Thanks!
Chad

look in the tech section of the sight, theres a writeup, if u cant find it i will link you, technical library at the top of the page, listed as floppy mirror fix IIRC
