Is there any way possible I can pop the dinger. I popped the dinger on my 97 f350 and my 94 f150, but the ranger looks different .

I disconnected the dinger on my 93...it's up behind the ashtray.

tmcalavy is right, theres a box up behind the ashtray with a harness going to it, just unplug that harness and it won't make noise anymore.

So that's where that darn thing is...
I've always hated it, but never looked for it.

What year. My 99 it is combined with some other functions, and behind the radio.

Mine is a 97 and it don't have anything behind the radio . It sounds like it is coming from behind my radio . Do I unplug all of that?

I unplugged the box behind my radio and it stopped dinging but now my windshield wipers quit working. Can I open the box an bust the dinger?

Hmm, guess they changed it in the later years. Not really sure on what to do there.

yeah I think in the later years the door chime was combined into the GEM module. you might be able to take the GEM module apart and remove the speaker. it will probably be like a computer modem speaker, a real small canister that looks like a capacitor with a hole in the top of it, you will have to unsolder it.

Can I not bust it? I have a 96 ranger that my dad had , he had a shop take his out can I use the little black box out of his ? Better yet how can I fix my door ajar light? It actually works first thing in the morning but after noon it stays on. I have tried pb blaster and wd 40.

hmm try replacing the actual switch inside the door. (both sides) fairly cheap and could possibly fix your chime issues as well.
