Lately I've been having a problem with my 2001 Ford Ranger Supercab. Seems the "door ajar" light on the dash will not go out, despite the fact that the doors are all closed. I cannot seem to locate the switch that tells if the doors are closed or not. Best solution I came up with was to pull the bulb until I can find the switch. Can anyone please advise me on where the switch is located ?

TIA

The switch is located in the door latch. Spray all the latches with some wd-40 and open and close the door a few times. That should work the wd-40 into the latch. It's a common problem on the Rangers.

:agree: had the same problem but i just took the dome light out and stuck a screwdriver in the socket, got a nice shock and blew the fuse

Yeh my ranger had the same problem when I bought it and my roommates ranger has the issue now. She just wont fix it. It drives me nuts!
