It’s coming along but man this is been a lot more than I had planned to do to the truck.

Sound deadening $64
Tie rods $45
$300 wheels/tires
$240 bumper
$210 rear brakes & upper control arms
$82 oil change/tire mount & balance
$60 rear diff seal
$21 front brake pads
$84 shocks
$30 plugs and wires
$156 lower control arms
$10 leather patches for seat/armres
$90 alignment
$300 labor
$0 Hours of scrubbing

Yep, adds up quick. I got about $500 in new parts I haven't even gotten to swapping yet. Took a break from working on the ranger.

Man… you haven’t even scratched the surface yet… :icon_rofl: :icon_rofl:

My first build of my choptop, well, hold up, so I bought the 89 choptop after a small engine fire as a 2wd for $160, plus the costs to rent a tow dolly and fetch it with my Ranger. When I first got it running again it was 2” suspension lift and 31’s and I don’t remember what I had into it, but then it got 3” suspension, 5” suspension and 33”s in short order and at that point it went on the road and I had about $1,600 all in it. Couple trashed engines later and I added a 2” body lift and 35’s and I stopped counting when I blew past the 4K mark.

I don’t even want to think about what’s been dumped into the green Ranger so far…

Incrementalism.....

It's sneaky.

The video.....and commentary
Entertaining....pretty good work.

I upgraded my front steering components ....and my aftermarket bumper don't fit right either. The big brake kit stops ok.... Wish I would have made a video now.

Pull the flooring. Treat the metal.

Cut it up....

Glue it together with solar seal.

It’s $22-39 just to ship either of those vinyls and I don’t think they are factory cut. I’m going to call them and see. I was planning on soaking it in a bunch cleaner, hit it with the drill brush, and then lay it out in sun for a while. Probably will still smell though. Decisions….:/

I don't even want to think about how much money I have into some of my project vehicles. My '94 Explorer for example... I have been sitting on a couple grand worth of parts for it for several years... just waiting on me.

It really is nice when things start to come together!

I had a floor once ... It's a sort of floor now

Me too. cough:4 inch lift:cough stopped counting costs at around $5000. Though considering it's spent most of the last 8 years as a daily driver, with nearly 400,000 combined miles now, I've come out ahead.
