Howdy Ladies & Gentlemen,

Well I've been lurking on here for a while now trying to find information and researching what I want to do with the truck, this is probably gonna be one of those lifer builds. It was purchased back in the middle of January of 2010 with somewhere around 150K or 160K on it; were now up to 177K!!!! The truck is your basic short box, extended cab, 4.0L, manual 5 speed, transfer case, & hubs! Dana 35/8.8 L/S rear. All the u-joints were replaced with them there Spicer 7610's ??? My buddy works at DLNW in Seattle took ALL the drive lines and shafts to him, put all grease-able joints in everything but the front member. Think that's the basics of the truck...

As for the plans for it..... down the road hopefully not too far away i would love to do:
-Block Heater (paid for it today pick it up by friday; install this weekend when I do my lube & service)
-31 spline explorer disk rear
-a 4" to 6" lift (if things are going really well an 8")
-33" tires
-selectable (cable) lockers front & rear
-winch movable between front & rear

I know there's more but the night is getting old and I get to be at work at two! :icon_bounceblue:

We'll update more later.

Sounds like a good plan, Although I wouldnt go over a 6in lift

Because he heard the wominz don't like more than 6"

Sounds like you got a nice project! Where did you get the block heater from?

why do you say nothing over a 6"?

because it is extremely hard to get the steering right with anything over 6"....

4" will clear 33" tires on our trucks....

I would also suggest getting extended radius arms as well....really help off road....

good luck with the project....and post up some pics....

post some pics. I wouldnt go over an 8" either. I am taking the 8" skyjacker out of mine but im SASing it. I will keep about the same height but be running full widths and 36s. My advice is put together a 4" kit that really works well. Nice flex but still stable. Extended radius arms are a MUST if you want to flex. My 8" kit with stock radiius arms is a joke for offroading but I will admit it goes down the road good and I have never had any problems with steering. Read some articles about making the ttb flex. If I wasnt going trail rig on mine I would be going to a long arm 4" ttb and 33s for good offroad and daily driving performance. just my 2 cents. Good luck.

Here are the pictures that the guy sent me when i bought the truck. Need to take more, I'll put it on my to do list.

Block heater came from Napa, Part # 11416. Hopefully it's going in this weekend. Seattle's supposed to have snow/rain this next week.

Manual transfer case.....

Well the alternator went out while out driving around in the snow last night. So $17o later and I got myself a 130 AMP alternator! no more dim headlights at least.
