Dome lights won't turn off replaced both door switches and the fuse. Any ideas?

you replaced the door latches? thats where the switches are. if not, spray them with some wd40 or equivalent and open and shut the door about 15times.

Not the latches but the door plunger. I have a 93 and I think 94 and up have a different type of switch.

The dome light is switched on the ground side. One of the wires to one of the switches is grounding to the frame or body.
There is a ground to each of:
  1. Right door switch
  2. Left door switch
  3. Light switch dimmer
  4. if it is a four door (non US), each rear door
  5. If you have a cargo light, possibly through the cargo (outside) light wiring (parallel wired light)
One of these ground wires is worn/exposed/pinched and grounding to body. Any ground between the dome light and one of the switches could be the cause.

Now I feel like an idiot it was the dimmer switch (didn't even know I one). But hey now I shouldn't have any dome light failure for a long time to come.

I have had that switch stay on even when turning the knob the contacts were rusted shut. At least you can laugh at yourself I am sure we all have had a case of the Duhhh did I do that.
