Does anyone repoduce these?

I've searched and searched for a reporduction power lock switch for my 1986 Ranger and I can't find one. Any info would help.

Is there a chance that a later-model part from another Ford would work? Does it have to be that exact piece? Just a thought.....might open up some choices for you.

i'd try contacting lmc truck @ 1-800-562-8782....or you could try a local junkyard or pic n pull

Just looked in the LMC Ranger catalog, and the oldest door lock switch I could find was for the '93-'94 models - part # 50-8167 ($14.95 each)

I have searched high and low for those stupid things. I have found no aftermarket ones anywhere. In fact I was only able to find 5 in the whole country. I have one of those, one the dealer was unwilling to give up, and the rest we were unable to actually put hands on.

I have one that is shot, I am going to see if I can find a way to take them apart and repair them since they are in such short supply.

I also grab every last one I can find and get out every time I go to a new junk yard. Don't have any spare good ones ATM though or I'd send you one.

Also, if anyone has any switches that don't work that they want send me for this project I'll send them back refurbed if I am successful.

huh, i think i have a couple of those sitting in a coffee can from one of the parts trucks i stripped/scrapped.

if i find them, i'll put them on a continuity tester and see if they work. i have no use for them, so i might as well send them to someone that does.

imo, you could jerry rig something up, by taking your stock rocker, and putting it ontop of a modern switch... just be careful, if you break your stock one, you're done!

Just thinking out loud here..... but I saw these power window switches on Rock Auto for $8.82.

Any way to rig one of these to work?

Not really. Wrong size, wrong pin positions, wrong style of function.

The best bet, in place of an actual switch, would be to just solder a wire into the center port and use it to work the locks by hitting the outer posts.
