I am in the middle regarding tinted windows :) tinted windows are helpful at night time but in the day time sometimes i don't care for how my tinted windows look on the outside because the windows look to dark but my ranger looks better with tinted windows.

When did Ford invent tinted windows for on the rangers and why did Ford put tinted windows on the rangers.

My aunt carla my dads sister doesn't like tinted windows or she doesn't care for tinted windows.

Tint is a personal opinion with lots of variations. You like it or you don't. I both like and dislike the factory tint on my 99. I like that they are tinted, I dislike that they aren't tinted enough. I have no idea how the existing tint levels compare to state laws regarding tint limits, but darker may be in the future.

I don't understand your thinking of tint helping at night. Tint literally decreases light transmission. As such it is going to make it more difficult to see through the windows at night. During the day that same decreased light transmission can be beneficial by reducing glare and UV transmissions. Decreased UV means less heat.

Ford didn't invent tinted windows. In a manner of speaking Ranger windows have been tinted since the first one rolled off the assembly line. It is very common for the normal glass used in automotive applications to have a slight green tint. As for the smokey, grey tint, I believe that started some time in the 90s.

Also, given the choice between a factory tint like the Ranger where the tint is in the glass, or an aftermarket tint job where it is applied to the glass. I'd much rather have the factory tint. Aftermarket tint does not hold up near as well with age. Past the 8 year mark in my Forte the aftermarket tint weas starting to bubble (possibly installer prep issue) and now at the 13 year mark I all needs to be removed and replaced, what hasn't bubbled has gotten wavy or hazy. The factory tint in all the Rangers and the F-250 still look as good as they can for aged glass.
