Does anyone know where I can track down a dash/body harness for a 1993 ford ranger electric shift transfercase? been hunting pic a parts local to me and ive had no luck finding one that wasnt completely thrashed.

Post in the parts wanted section ,you need to post in the correct forum if you want results.

check craigslist as well for part outs. you could also utilize your old harness and make a new one with right plugs relays etc

pick and pull locations would be a better price than buying one outright from a parts store i would imagine

you said you have looked at the pick a parts local to you without luck. So now you got to look at a few other options. can you get by for a while as is, or maybe even do a half ass repair that works? this will give you some time to consider and implement the next few options.

Next few options.

go back to the pull a parts that are near by and yank the dash harness out of two different trucks... one as close to your configuration as possible and one that is fairly different. Compare the two to see if they are identical. you might get lucky and find that Ford put the same harness in all of the rangers and if an option was not available to that specific Ranger, the harness plug is just tucked away. (not sure if this is the case, maybe someone smarter than I can chime in)also check 1991, 1992, and 1994 years, as I believe these have the same dash as your truck. 1995 and newer are completely different.

if the truck is safe to drive long distance or you have another reliable vehicle, you can visit pick a parts that are not so close to you. pick a day that you can get up early and drive and hopefully you will find a suitable donor.

If you have a friend that lives accross the state/ country and wants a reason to get away from the wife and kids and lives near a pull a part, you can maybe convince him to yank one for you and mail it.... be prepared to throw him a kegger when you next meet up tho...

And as Creepy Crawler said, you might be able to build a harness using your old one and the proper connectors and parts.

for more expensive options, fleabay... maybe LMC truck, dealer..
