Alrighty then..got tires today and man are they nice. Firestone destination mt's...33x12.50" r15. Got some new rims from a friend for free. The black ones I had were only 15x7's..these are 8's. I'm prolly going to paint these aswell. They only rubbed in one spot on one side..but I cut both sides a little to make more clearance. I don't really notice that much power loss..I just have to give it a tad more gas on takeoffs. So what do you all think? I think it's about time I test this truck out..haven't wheeled in it yet. Lol.

I left the plastic fender inside intact. Anyways...what's next?

lookin good keep up the good work and congrats on the freebies never can go wrong on that price

Truck looks WICKED. Super clean. Not a huge fan of the looks of the rims, but at that price, you can never go wrong! What's next is some bumpers, I'd say.

Hey I have those same tires, and they're wearing great. Its funny you don't hear much about them or many people using them but I love them. Good looking rig!

for some reason when i see your truck head on i think International Scout.....

anyways, love the look....and i actually like the rims:icon_thumby:

Yeah I'm not super fond of the rims either..but I think they'll look okay once they're painted. I have 4 8foot pieces of 2" 3/16s steel tubing to make bumpers. I'm thinking it might be a little thick though. I've seen lots of bumpers on older toyaotas and such made from like 1" and they look awesome. I'm not sure though. It's probably the grille that makes it look like a scout. Lol.

I think a couple new bumpers will really set it off. And now that it's been mentioned, the front end DOES kind of look like a Scout. Looks sweet though, I like the grille.

What did you give for the tires? They look nice

Looks good.

Is it me or does you camber look a little positive?

Your steering angle is pretty steep as well...

It'd be a shame to have those pretty new tires wear out wickedly fast...

those are good tires. we ran a set on my dads tj and they were awesome

yep, steering angle is steep. get yourself an extreme drop pitman arm

Looks good, I lifted my truck Back in may. But have not got new tires yet and it looks dumb, with the little tires on there but they are almost brand new and I can't afford new ones yet

yeah, its the grill....and the color paint too...

and 2" is perfect for tube bumpers....the 1" would look really small, not too mention they would bend really easy

All four out the door $897.85. Yeah that's true about the steering camber. You can really see it when turning around. So a drop pitman arm will fix that? I'l get on that soon. Thanks for all the compliments. I really need to take this thing out and see how it does.

To fix the camber you will need to get a front end allignment, either get the drop arm quick and get it alligned or get a lifetime allignment now and then get it re-alligned when you get the arm. When you lift a truck it affects your toe as well as your camber. It is the toe that does the damage. I have seen bad toe eat tires in less than 10,000 miles. $50 for an allignment is far cheaper than $897 for tires.

Sweet looking rig BTW, I love the 1st gens.
