Anyone use these kits, which one is best... Im thinkin of doing the exterior in bedliner ....opinions...

which kits Nick? Are you referring to the duraliner and the duplicolor spray on and similar systems? A tiny bit more information would help - thanks.

I am also interested in this. the bed liner that came with my truck is cracked and it needs to go

ah any of the do-it-yourself ruberized bed coating kits out there. the question was to see if anyone has used these products, what there opinion is and maybe someone has coated the outside of their truck in it.
im looking for a durable exterior that i dont ever have to worry about I bought the b2 for 375 bucks and drove it home.... so needless to say i dont want to sink a ton into paint, Id like to save it for bumpers, winch, maybe even a soft top since i cut this one off. Oh maybe a 302..... any help would be apreciated.

herculiner and plasticoat. I've used both. I like the cheaper plasticoat better. seams to cover and stick well as long as you prep the surface well. plus it's cheaper. like 40 a gallon compared to 100 bucks a gallon for herculinar.

I am going to do the Plasticoat myself, a friend I work with used the Herculiner and loves it. It just took a few days to put it on due to prep, application and a second coat.

Just don't get it on your Hootus. :)

bought the plasticcote.... gonna try to get it done this week... we will see. thank for the advice smokey, and all ya others too.

I bought the small can of Herculiner from Walmart for around $20 (?)

I already had a hard plastic bedliner in the truck, but I used a roller and put it on the ridges in the bedliner, on the bed rail covers, and on the bottom of the cab. It worked real well for the price. Did it a year ago and it is all still in-tact, even in the "high traffic" areas

I just Herculined the bed of my Ranger, I'm actually very impressed with it. It turned out a lot better than I thought it would.

From what I have read the duplicolor liner is harder than the plasticote. Line-X is far and away the top of the line, but also the most expensive.

the plasti-cote worked great and a one gallon can is enough to do the whole thing

How about color, does it fade over time. Obviously the higher end brands keep their cvolor, this ive seen, but Im just curious to know if these will lose the color over a period of a few months. The last thing i would want to do is to paint over it, or re-do it because the black color is now grey.
