Do 2005 F-series not have PATS?

I know for some reason the rangers didn't have PATS in 2005, is this also true for the F-series? Working on a 2005 F350 6.0 and forscan is not popping up with any key programming feature in the service procedures.

I can find nothing about PATS in the workshop or wiring manuals.

Well I guess I'm just gonna have to go get the blank keys cut in the morning and see if the truck starts.

If it doesn't I'm fairly screwed on this job...

What does the key you have look like?

I have an 03 F350 key in my hand. It’s this same key... No chip.

There’s a pretty good chance that key won’t turn the ign switch... It ain’t got no teeth.

Ball peen, chisel, channel locks, and a good pair of needle nose vice grips or slotted pliers, and you got yoself a bran-new-to-u eff-seereeeeeesss

Truck started right up so definitely no PATS...

I guess ford figured no one wants to steal F350s

I think pats was more of a thing to force owners back to a dealership, even if just for a extra key. Got one for the escape yesterday, non-fob key, was $108 I think. Ive never had the key out of the 94 since Ive owned it, no one stole it yet. (maybe its the extra pedal under the dash )

I told you for less than 30 bucks you could have forscan and done that key yourself! I charge people 50-75 bucks to do keys. I buy the blank chipped keys on amazon for 10-15 bucks, have them cut for less than 5 bucks, and then it takes me 11 minutes to program them. (10 minutes is the security timer)

g/f was in a hurry to have a 2nd key. She paid for it so I wasnt really out anything.

Woohoo now I get to replace a glow plug module on the same truck! Off to google what the hell a glow plug module is!

I... I am not a good mechanic. People just keep giving me money!
