Hi all,

In the middle of dropping the rear of my 00' 2.5 ranger reg cab short-bed 5-spd.
Got the DJM shackles mounted and the leafs bolted in.
I'm wonderin if the gap between the leaf bushing and the shackle is typical and if additional bushings are needed/recommended??

See attached photo for reference. Notice the gap on the left side of the photo.
This is the driver side FYI.

Look forward to hearing from anyone!
Thanks
Nate

If there is a steel bushing for the bolt to go thru, have you tightened the nut until the sides of the shackle are snugged against the steel bushing?

If there is no steel bolt-bushing, add a spacer to lessen the gap without "pinching" the spring-sides against the shackle sides.

No steel bushings from the djm kit or factory for my my truck. But I ended up finding some
rubber bushings to toss in between and take up the slack. Then snugged up the bolts.
I should ask, what are the specified torque settings (if any) for the rear suspension components?
