Hi All
I have a 89 carbed 2.3 ... By what I've look at they didn't carb any in 89?? anyway.. With the dampner at TDC. the Cam timming is right on or maybe just a 1/2 a tooth off. anyway its just past the center pointer. When I pull the dizzy cap the rotor is pointing at like 6 o'clock (center wise)...
When I got the truck the guy had changed the wires, new carb, new fuel pump... (turck won't run or start).. ( he also for got to hook up the wires that go to the sylinoid on the float bowl). looking at the wires he had #1 at like the 4o'clock posistion. But the online book I looked at shows that #1 should be at the 7 o'clock posistion... looking at the dizzy hold down bolt it looks like no wrenches (gressy grimie) have been on it so I'm sure the dizzy hasn't been moved.. So with it only haveing 4 cyl. I'm sure if the rotation was one hole off it wouldn't run or start... Right?? fireing order was right 1-3-4-2...
So am I right in thinking just move the wire's and see what happends??
Thanks
tim
