Distributor sealing

2.8L Distributor: By what method is the Distributor to be sealed onto the block? O-Ring? Gasket? or?

There is an o-ring on the distributor shaft housing

Try this part number: F1DZ-12143-A

And does that ORing fit into the shaft's slot A or at the shoulder B ?

It will go over the l shaft and sit in the groove just below the shoulder you marked as B.

Dang I thought this thread was about distributor cap boots. A condom for your spark.
They are really hard to install. Yet work very well.

Four wheel shops sellem. My 4x4 has one on it, it took hours to install it.
