Distributor hold down clamp?

Don't know if it is the same style or not. Been close to 20 years since I've looked at a 2.9L and didn't looks close at the distributor then. I do know that the 2.9L uses a distributor, the 4.0L CPS is basically the bottom half of a distributor, and they are both Cologne V6 engines. Did early 4.0L use a distributor? If so, then I feel it's even more likely to be the same or usable.
No all 4.0's were EDIS. I found a pic of one online, it looked pretty similar

I'm about 95% certain that the 2.8, 2.9 and 4.0 used the same clamp - maybe even the same bolt too - just going off memory though, I have touched that part on all three of those engines in the last 6 months.

If it does thats good news because my favorite yard has a bunch of 95+ explorers. Hopefully not all SOHC
