disciplerocks's B2 build thread

Probably not something I'll be doing, just would be cool. I got other stuff to work and spend money on.

I know the feeling!! I've got enough things to work on around the shop much less add to that :icon_cheers:

Also want to build one of these for the B2 so I don't have to screw with cables. Maybe 2 so one can go in the Focus and I can be a cool drifter :icon_twisted:

I like that, where did you find that?? I might decide to get one of those rather than run cables...

Guy on Focus forum had one for sale, got me curious so I started searching. doesn't look that hard to build. U-pull a clutch master and an e brake handle, then build a bracket.

No it doesn't, and I have a spare clutch master and line I could experiment with...:D
SVT

Let me know how it goes.

I'll need to grab an E-brake handle from a mustang or similar...If you want to grab a couple from the JY I'll be glad to set em up and you bolt it up :icon_thumby:

The only problem I see with that is you would need to have a check valve to install so you don't push the fluid to the brake master cylinder instead of the calipers...
SVT

Okay so that works by hooking into your current brake lines. I have a spare clutch master outside too, now you have my gears a turning. My E-brake cable is zip tied to my frame and I have no clue how to get it hooked up, this looks like an easier solution.

Well you can get one for about $125-$150 which isnt too bad.

Thats actually not a bad price, may considering getting one if I can find a place to mount in in my truck, I use the middle seat in mine so cant get rid of it ATM until I find another vehicle, wish i wasnt broke, saw an 02 exploder at a dealership for $4000, it wouldnt see offraod use.

Been busy out in the garage today. Cut front fenders, installed new rear shocks, ran axle breather lines, bypassed abs, bled rear brakes, redid door pins like slo-vo's, wired in half door speaker, hacked into the half door a bit, cut 1" off bottom of the hatch, and installed an interior spare carrier.

Just took the first drive in it. Wow is it different. I like the gearing, but the welded rear and soft springs are gonna take some getting used to. Need to get dual shocks set up on the front.
