Differential Fluid Change

So as was said above, any axle with limited slip need the FM. DOesnt sound like hearsay to me......WHat I said I "heard" was the keyword ANY. Which would include open diffs and posi's. That was the hearsay, but did not apply to your axle.

I used the word heresay as a descriptor for the amount of discussion on the topic. Short from calling ford and hearing it from the horses mouth i did the best to give the most informative answer i could.

I the mustang world.....they say not to worry about the friction modifier if you're using synthetic....most have the modifier in them.....?

yes. that is my understanding. and when i worked at jiffy lube ( a few different locations, and an xpress lube) any of the l/s ford diffs that we had put syn 75/140 in we did not add the friction modifier because it was already added to the gear lube we used. ford's brand must not add the modifier to the gear lube. which is weird because only the limited slip diffs take the 75/140 anyway
