Difference between Clutch Master Cyl/Line - '89 Vs. '94

Where are you located?
I make a pin pusher and do it.
I'm in NY, so a couple-few miles from the Mitten. ;) I could see I would need to have some type of pin-pusher tool to R&R the line in place, so I just removed the whole MC w/ line today. The new line is on the way. I'll assemble and bench-bleed it before putting it back in.

For future reference, any pics of the pin pusher tool?

Not with me. I am in pa working near the ny border. Elmira and Binghamton has been my range.

I just modify a c clamp

It's always a kick in the booty to bleed....

Maybe I am just lucky.

I have actually been having good luck just using the pressure side of a hand pump with the line jammed into the port on the bottom of the reservoir.

I've actually visit Gary's in Binghamton on a couple occasions this year. I can visualize how a modified C-clamp could do the job. Good thought if I have to do this job again.

That makes sense. No need to pump the pedal that way.

I've been limping my B2 along this way for a while now. The slave is leaking and I just haven't had time to do it. Trying to bleed it the traditional way just makes it worse. Doing it this way I can drive it for a few days, but it's been getting shorter each time.

I should mention, you need to put the little catch cup in the line, fill it with brake fluid, and have the short stiff hose attached to the bottom of the cap for this to work. Otherwise you just put more air into the system.

what i've seen there are early and late systems. the early (up to 92) have black quick connect and late (93 up) have a brass or gold quick connect. ALWAYS black to black and brass to brass, they will not mix and match,

Ultimately what I did was pulled the MC, clipped the line and ordered a new line. Easy to drive the pin out on the bench and install the new line. Bleeding was a bit of a challenge. What got the air out was using my Mity-vac attached to a custom lid I created with a barbed fitting in it. Tapped on the pedal rapidly when under vacuum and all the evil air bubbles ran out.
