Diesel powered, ALL FORD 05 Ranger

Glad to see ya back! Sorry 'bout the ol' lady. I was going to leave you a message on youtube when I saw that you post some new vids but I forgot. I'm really glad you didn't get rid of this beast. Looking forward to more progress.:icon_thumby:

I got the heads back today. They were 10 thou warped.

This presents a problem. I don't have 10 thou to play with since gaskets only come in one thickness. Looks like copper and o-ringing the head is the way to go.

BTW if your planning to run the 6.0 without coolant in the heads........it will not work. 7 passes warped it 10 thou.

Glad to see you back and still at it!

Holy Crap, Truck of the year? Thanks guys, I am deeply honored. There are some really nice Rangers on here.

Thats what happens when you're awesome!

yea really man. as far as i see this is the sickest street ranger on here

damn:icon_surprised: sorry to hear this.

try to refrain from the death do us part thing:shok:.

hope shit gets better for ya. hate to get ya back around like this...

Its all good man.

I remember when you first got on R-F and asked about frame issues regarding the torque output. I thought it was a little far-fetched back then, but good job. (Yes, this is the first time I'm commenting here.)

Glad to hear that you're back, and obviously not down for the count. We learn things along the way, and we're not expected to know everything about anything. Good to see that you're pushing through.

Blown gaskets and the like are a PITA. Good luck, and hope you eventually dial in those 9's. It takes a lot to get to that point, and determination and patience (the latter of which I rarely carry) is an attribute to be admired in your build.

So, what's the latest progress?

Pete

crazy thing is i was jus wonderin about this thread yesterday and today it appears welcome back

Back in. I was hoping to take it to a race in Dallas next week, but I also Crew on the Power services Diesel funnycar and have to help out in Kentucky next week, so it looks like May it is.
