Hey everyone...first timer here.
94 xlt with 3.0l manual.
It intermittently dies within the first few minutes of start, and always when coming to a stop. In other words, it never does while just normal driving is taking place. After about 3-5 minutes it cranks, almost like it has been "flooded", even though it is fuel injected, and then runs fine from then on. Does not throw a visable code. Fuel pump was replaced about 3 years ago. Thoughts??

There is a clear flooded engine mode. If you hold the gas pedal to the floor while turning the engine over the fuel injectors are shut off. There should be NO signs of the engine trying to start. If it tries to start or barfs then you have a leaking injector or two.

Welcome to TRS :)

I would change the ECT(engine coolant temp) sensor just on speculation, its not expensive or hard to change

All gasoline engines need to be Choked when cold, but without Jets a choke plate doesn't work
So with fuel injection the computer must simulate the "choke", Rich fuel mix, high idle and advanced spark timing

The ECT sensor tells the computer engine temp so it can apply the correct amount of "choke" for startup and then slowly reduce it as engine warms up

If the ECT sensor is acting up, showing 50degF at cold start and then in a few minutes jumps up to 160degF, the still cold engine would struggle to run and be hard to restart without some "choke" applied

There are TWO temp devices on the engine
ECT sensor, 5volts, 2 wires only used by the computer
ECT Sender, 12volts, 1 wire, only used by the dash board temp gauge
