Did they shrink the interior since 2005?

Me and my Brother Both just bought new 2011 Ford ranger Sport 4x4, we both upgraded from 2005 ranger Edge 4x4. pulled into the driveway, expecting to swap aftermarket audio systems back into the new trucks...The MTX4500 box will not even squeeze in behind the seat, back in 2005 there was not TONNES of room, but definately enough to play with (behind the drivers seat). As well as a wedge style box with a JL12W3v3 use to fit beautifully behind my seat....not even close to fitting........WHAT IS GOING ON!!!!!???? ANYONE ELSE WITH THESE ISSUES????

The cabs have been the same, 93+ ext cabs haven't changes, in 98 the std cabs got 3 extra inches of space

if anything has changes i would say it was the seats

were the old one manual seats and the new ones power?

no, both manual. the only difference is old truck had buckets and new one has 60/40

id say they shrunk by far thats why i didnt buy one. they outside may not of change but the interior sure did. i had as much head room in my 97 ranger as i do in my 06 f150 and when i checked out the 2010 ranger my head was hitting the roof
