So at 10:45 am on the 4th of july my whole family was in our van heading to our foster kids family visit. We were near the end of our 1 hr drive when a guy pulls out in front of us and we had no way of stopping in time. Nailed him broadside. Fortunately everyone was ok and we both had full coverage. he was at fault and was cited for it. It was scary because there was six of us in our van including a 1 year old, 7 year old and two teens in the back. air bags went off and the front of the van is crumpled. So that ruined our day. Had to get picked up, all 6 of us get looked at in the hospital and spent the next day talking to insurance all day. Finally got a rental vehicle and buying a new(used) car. Here is a pic of the accident. Hope everyone had a better 4th than we did. Didn't get to see any fireworks since we were planning on seeing them that night but didn't have a car that can take everyone.

I was at work for a 12hr shift earning doubletime pay.

You win. Your day sucked.

Your van did a good job at protecting the occupants.

My 4th was pretty uneventful. My mother in law fell and broke her ankle on the third though.

Nothing to throw in here that's gonna win. I got a quadruple case of heart burn, needing a total of 600mg of antacids when 150 usually does the job, and didn't call the cops on my neighbor's fireworks display even though I should have.

He is being an arrogant insufferable @$$ (unrelated), and must have missed the part of our new, laxer fireworks laws that says you have to set them off at least 150 feet from any occupied building. Oh, and you can't be drunk while doing it. Well he is always drunk, and there is nowhere on his lot that he can be 150 feet from my house, let alone his own. I should have called them, but I didn't.

Glad everyone is OK, it sucks having holidays tainted by serious injuries or death.

Fireworks are illegal in MA. Somebody behind me had a bunch of boomers that sounded like a 12 gauge pump gun. Geezis . Its ten o;clock , buddy, I wanna go to sleep !

I am trying to kill him with kindness right now since I know his landlord has told him to get out, but that was kind of the threshold I set on it.

I heard anything go off after 10 I was going to call in and make a noise complaint. His last one went off at 9:50.

Yeah everyone is ok other than minor injuries like seat belt rashes/bruises and one broken bone from my fiancé because she was driving. Van is gone and now we just got a 2006 Chrysler pacifica. Seems like the previous owners took good care of it. brakes were new, rotors clean, all suspension and steering was in good shape and tight. Not a drop of fluid on the underside motor area which shocked me. drove like a new car. let go of the wheel and drove a hundred yards or so straight with no pull or anything. plus it can seat everyone comfortably. Only issue was a seat belt didn't click (found and removed a penny from the buckle and fixed it) and the factory radio doesn't turn on. Could be something simple. Anyone know much about these and the radios? From my research if you don't have alternative power to it when you change the battery it resets it or puts it in a fault mode. Battery is new (12/17) so that's probably what happened. Literally just got it home last night so I haven't messed with it. Here's a pic of it.
