ok, to start this thread, I will admit that I manhandled a nut with an impact gun and am an idiot
I have a 99 ranger 2wd with a 4.0, auto trans, which I believe to be a 5r55E. I was trying to replace the external neutral switch to remedy a check engine code. after soaking the non moving nut with kroil for 2 days, it still wouldnt move. I hit it with an impact gun. The nut came off, but I also broke the internal pawl in the process.
I have fixed it, but since it was in pieces when I took it out, I dont exactly know how it goes back together.
Anyone have a good diagram? I searched this forum and internet for 5R55E internal linkage, but no great success.
