i watched a youtube video, the guy says you can pull the fuse for the "ECM" in the engine compartment fuse panel to deliberated prevent the engine from starting when you're doing a power steering fluid flush. you can crank the engine (without starting it!) for a second or two to run all the fluid out of the pump and run clean fluid through. i know it's extreme and not necessary but i'd really like to crank the engine and get every drop of old fluid out. it is not obvious to me which fuse is for the ECM. i see "PCM" in the owner's manual.

how can i/what do i have to do to be able to crank the engine for 2 seconds without allowing the engine to start?

i tried searching the archives and going on line but i can't figure out the proper search term. all the hits i am getting are how TO start your engine!

Do not pull any fuses or relays, push the gas pedal to the floor and turn the key. Engine will turn over but not start, this turns off the fuel injectors. It's called clear flood mode.

Dont need to do this for power steering though. Simple way to flush the fluid without running the system dry and getting air in it is to use a turkey baster. Suck old fluid out and refill the reservoir then go for a drive to get the new fluid mixed in. Repeat the process a couple times until the fluid is clean.
