1996 Ranger Super, 4.0 4R55E, 4WD Electronic shift,. 180K I installed an updated valve body today with a new filter, 1 bottle of lucas and standard atf. Followed techdata listed here to do the RR. http://www.ford-trucks.com/article/...ad_Separator_Plate_And_Valve_Body_Gasket.html

Had a slight delay into reverse before the swap but now it seems to have gotten worse. Any common causes for this or updates? Im planning on building a new tranny anyways but would like to adress this issue if possible... I used a new reverse servo gasket during swap.

Did you replace the seals on the reverse servo?? they tend to get hard and flat and dont seal well...also if there is a spring under the reverse servo and it is recommended to remove this spring.

Heres something else also that may help..looky here
