I found out last week that I'll be taking delivery of my Grandpa's '98 Ranger from my aunt next month. At the time, all she knew was that it was black with blue pin striping, a '98 Supercab 4x4.
In an effort to gain some more info, she sent me a pic of the door jamb sticker and it looks like it has some good features:
From what I can tell:
Black exterior, gray interior
4.0L engine
Automatic 5R55E tranny
3.73 LS rear axle
4 wheel anti-lock brakes
265/75r15 tires (31x10.5)
From the sticker and the info above, is there any other info that can be derived? Not sure if XL vs XLT or certain packages (ie: power windows, locks, etc.) would be listed there?
In any event, my plan is to build a light duty offroader to run forest service roads. More than anything, I'm really happy it has the 4.0 and the 3.73 LS.
