Ok so i spent a little time trying to figure out what engine i have.
So here is the code: C8OE Thats either a ford fairlane or falcon or mustang motor, BUT The last 5 Letters/numbers are 6015-A So what we have here is C8OE - 6015A Above that it says 901, I did some research on that exact number and i found another engine with the same number and its listed as a 1968 Shelby Gt350 Engine. Can anyone Clarify this im almost positive my engine is not a shelby gt350 engine. But if it is Wooo hooo, worth a shit ton of money =D.
Here is a link to the engine I found http://mustangtek.com/block/C8OE-6015-A.html My block also has the 0 Before the code number

I don't know if they were really careful about what went where.

My '87 Crown Vic 5.0 had a E7TE code, which decodes as '87 Truck Engine.

Your link says it is "unconfirmed" for 289/302, not that it isn't.

When you click on the link. on one of the pictures the top of the block says 302 The year is whats unconfirmed. 1968-1969 and they both made gt350 engines in those years. but i think the 69 is a mustang boss code. and i believe they stopped the 289s in 67

I found this:

C - Decade code - C = 1960 decade was the first decade for this part
8 - Year code - 8 = 1968 was the first year for this part
O - Application code - O = Intermediate sedan - Fairlane, Torino
E - Part category code - E = Engine part
6015 - Part identifier - 6015 = Engine block
A - Sequential design revision - A = First release

To be honest, I really don't know that there is much of a difference if it WAS from a GT350. Is there a (partial) VIN stamped on it?

I have not read that, thanks for the information, I heard they use to have the factory cast iron two barrel on the 350gts. But it was an option to upgrade to the 4barrel. I upgraded to the edelbrock performer intake and a 600cfm edelbrock carb. :P. I just torqued the intake on so id rather not take it off to see the vin, Was just curious im sure its not a gt350 Engine or atleast the high performance one :D.

What you listed here are the engineering (also more commonly refered to as the casting) numbers. C8OE blocks were used for several years, cast from late 1967 to probably 1970-71. It well could have come from a GT350 Shelby, but unless you have a way to prove that, it's not likely to have. These are good thick blocks, but nothing special to set them apart from any others. I have one cast in 69 in my shop that came from a 69 Bronco.

You may have read this already - but if not:

EDIT: My buddies Dad has one of the Shelby aluminum intake's they are talking about. Ten years ago he got offered $500 and an Edelbrock intake for it. He declined.

It looks like this, but it's polished:

There were a dozen variations of that intake, your Dad should have taken the buyer up on the deal. They didn't come polished, so that would have been a huge negative for it's value.
