im getting close to starting my swap, heres what i got

94 ranger 4x4 with 2.3l manual tranny
88 mustang gt 5.0
c4 tranny(has the manual valvebody, not sure if im gonna keep that)

stock carb intake with holley carb( gonna rebuild until i can get a truck avenger)
(mississippi doesnt have emissions testing)

and the stock 88 5.0 intake and throttle body( no injectors)

98 explorer accessories and brackets

i dont have a distributor yet. having to piece the swap together instead of getting a whole donor car. i already get hate mail for having my ranger parked next to my garage(im not joking). so i dont have room for a donor lol. i got most of the parts planned out for the swap except for wiring. in order to use the explorer accessories do i need to get a wiring harness to have the right connectors? and if i need the harness should i just get the computer too and use the efi? but then i have to buy all the sensors and emissions stuff? would i need a manual or auto computer since the c4 wont hook up to it?

or

go with the carb set up. and then i still dont have a clue as to how to wire everything up.

anything would help alot or links to where i can read up on how to do this. or am i over thinking all this and its simpler then i think. once i get this part figured out im pulling the crap 2.3 out and getting this project rolling.

get an electrical vacuum trouble shooting manual for your truck. EFI will need the evtm for the donor, or carb is strait forward enough and the diagrams for what you need are available. Just need to splice it into the trucks existing wiring (I used the plugs on the original mainharness), use the evtm to show you where they run to and what color they are.

Millions of opinions either way on why one would be better than the other, just need to make a choice and follow through with it.
