I decided to go to the Decatur Swap Meet in Decatur Texas this past weekend. Last year was my first time and I went on Saturday. This time I went on Friday. There were tons of signs there. I don't typically buy signs because they're really expensive. I found a guy that had a bunch of Pepsi signs. His prices on the big signs were cheap, as far as signs go. He said he bought a bunch from an old Pepsi bottling plant in Kansas. I bought this one for $20. I grew up drinking Pepsi (Pepsi Generation), so I just had to have it. I'll hang it in my shop somewhere.

This Gulf sign would look cool out in front of my shop. I didn't even look at the price. It's probably more than I paid for my last used car.

I kind of wanted this Zenith sign, but it was priced too high. My shop started life as a TV repair place, and the busted front window had part of a sticker that said it was an authorized Zenith repair location. I think having some TV memorabilia or signage would be a cool decoration for inside.

A guy had a couple of superchargers for sale. I think one was an M62 and one was an M90. I was going to talk to the guy about them, but he was tied up with another customer, so I eventually walked away.

Ever wished your shop crane / cherry picker reached farther / higher?

I also thought this hand crank winch was really cool. Imagine winching your truck with that? Better eat a lot of Spinach.

And another supercharger......

This guy took an Avion camper and mounted it on a Kenworth.

Check out this old Ford wrecker.

And this Chevy wrecker. I love old wreckers and the Chevy wrecker was pretty cool.

This old 1934 Ford was intact and was right-hand drive. Still had the Ford ID tag under the hood. I'm wondering if it was built for export and never got exported?

I got quite a bit of video but not very many photos. I'm glad I went on Friday. The Pepsi signs were probably sold by Saturday. There was a better turn out this year. I was a little colder last year. It was 60 degrees Friday. Warm enough that I didn't get cold walking around and cool enough that I didn't start sweating from all of the walking. I took a hoodie but didn't wear it. I enjoy swap meets whether I buy anything or not. When I go, I look for stuff that I can't find anywhere else and skip over the things that I can easily find new. Although, there was no shortage of tools for sale.
