I got tinnitus two years ago. The quieter the environment the louder the ringing is in my ears. Mostly I sleep on the couch with the TV on to cover up the ringing and drink myself to sleep. Also I'm on call 24/7 and tend to get more calls at 3:00 am than 3:00 pm. I have a script for Ambien but I try not to take more than one a week.
