Judging by your sig I take it you didn't succeed? :icon_twisted:

Seriously though, it looks like it was a nice truck... too bad. At least nobody got hurt though.

They all do that from time to time but that is a big thing to swallow... hard to blame you if do jump ship. :dntknw:

Aww man major bummer:bawling:, at least your ok though. But hey I think i know what happened, did your notice that bare wire under the hood?:dunno:

not really jumping ship. if i come across one i like ill pick it up. but for my primary vehicle im going the route of cj7. just fits my usage better. and ill make it match my cj8. ive been having electrical issues with the truck since october. some of the light sockets shorted out and melted, headlights would blow randomly. had 2 go in one day. speedo would jump to 120 kicking in the governor even if i was going like 5 mph. fuel guage moved with the tach. im thinking maybe some of these electrical issues finally over taxed the alt and it just said ive had enough. cant remember the last time i cried though. i put a lot of time and money into her. 3 inch body lift, full exhaust system, 800 in tires 2 months ago, 4.56 rear with a powertrax no slip.... didnt even get a chance to take it off road since the tires.

wow :icon_surprised: glad you made it out ok man

I'm glad you are OK too. The electrical stuff is scary...

The age of my truck has me kind of paranoid...

When I read it while hovering over the thread, I thought you were getting rid of it because an alternator went. I guess I was sorta right.

Glad your ok, dude.

That.... sucks. Dayum. Now I'm super glad I have a new alternator in my lilly.

Holy crap, glad you are ok. It sure went out with a bang. The engine bay looks pretty bare with all the plastic melted away lol.

Man, that's horrible. My sister had some crap-ass Chev (built in Japan) that puked fuel over the engine and started on fire. It landed her in bankruptcy.

i take it whatever engine that had used plastic valve covers? it looks like i see rocker arms. thats really too bad, good reason to carry a extingusher. at least no one was hurt.

dang, sorry for your lose man, glad your ok. electrical, brakes and balljoint/tierods are the most important areas to make sure are in good condition.
