DD mileage, whats your MPG?

just curious what kind of mileage youre getting and with what kind of setup.
eg.: MAF 5.0L HO, AOD, 4.10s and 35x12.5's

A guy should be able to get 20 with a MAF 302, decent gear, light foot and skinnies.

My '98 Explorer with the 5.0 has gotten a best (that I've checked) of 24.6 mpg. On my daily work commute it was getting 18 mpg last time I checked.

I have no idea what the Ranger gets with the 4.6 in it. It's very difficult to have a light foot while driving it.

I don't DD it anymore, 93 octane is a killer. 396W stroker (just about every mod possible) 750 edelbrock, ZF 5 speed, NP205, 3.73s and 35 inch tires. On a good day around 12-15ish. On a fun day I'm sure it's gallons per mile, worst tank averaged 4mpg.

when i use to drive mine. i got 11-13mpg which is the same the 2.8 got in it. my setup is an '89 mustang 5.0 160,000 miles, (didn't rebuild it) carbed, C4, 3.45's then changed to 4.10's on 31's. I'm planning on somtime trying an AOD and headers and see what happens.
